Immediate past chair of WiO, Frank Egerton, is appearing on BBC Oxford’s Jo in the Afternoon on Thursday 21st October, in connection with the publication a week later of his new novel, Invisible (which has been available as a Kindle e-book for a few weeks). It’s also the first book from his new imprint, Street Books.
Frank is speaking at a forthcoming Topical Supper (3rd November) about the book and the publishing venture, and very interesting I expect to find it. I also love the way he describes what he’s doing:
My interest is in artisan publishing: which will involve high quality, regional fiction, marketed locally in person and globally via the Internet. An analogy I like is that of the micro-brewery: a combination of tradition, passion and the opportunities offered by new technology.
