Bloomsbury secures Georgina Ferry’s new book

The Bookseller recently reported that Bloomsbury has acquired world English language rights to Georgina Ferry’s new book, Rough Magic: Shakespeare’s World of Science. “Ferry’s book is informed by the references to science in Shakespeare’s plays. Central to the title is the argument that the bard displayed ‘a profound understanding of bee colonies, gardening, earthquakes, climate change, the vacuum, planetary motion, eclipses, geometry, ballistics, windmills, watchmaking, atomism, venereal disease, mercury poisoning, alchemy, melancholia, nature versus nurture and much more’.” Visit the Bookseller to read more.
